About

By that remembered or with that forgot

Sneaker

is the last line of a poem by Lord Byron,

an untitled poem where he expresses the desire that

nothing but his name and dates shall be written on his tombstone

for if more than that would be needed for people to remember him

he’d rather be forgotten.

I borrow it here because that’s how I feel about my work.

This blog is not about me but the words I’ve written.

As an author I am the words I write.

Should that not be enough to earn it recognition

may it wither away in obscurity

and I along with it.

  2. Tight pants, eh? I’m nearing the age when I can start to legitimately consider those pants and shorts with the elastic in the waistband. A pair of velco walking shoes, and I’ll be all set.

  3. Lord Byron, always the anti-hero.
Anyway, thanks for the follow. I’ve browsed through your poetry and I like what I see. May inspiration continue to find you, always

  4. I can fully relate to the sentiment, and hope that I would be remembered for my writing, instead of all the mistakes I’ve made along the way. Or, maybe I’m the one who remembers those errors.

Thanks for stopping by my blog, as well!
